We are a 10 minute drive from the A34, which joins Oxford and Newbury. Our nearest mainline station is Didcot Parkway, accessible on the First Great Western service from London Paddington. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Please let us know if you need a taxi to be organised for you from Didcot station.
We also have some great local pubs and walks if you are coming out for the day – in particular, the Eyston Arms in East Hendred is a firm favourite and only a 2 minute walk. If you need accommodation or directions, again do give us a call.
Directions from the West via Wantage
From the market square, leave Wantage via the A417 towards Didcot and Harwell. Keep on the A417 for approximately 3.2 miles until you reach a road on the right for East Hendred (White Road). Take this road and continue straight on, bearing right as the road becomes the High Street. Drive down the High Street, passing the Eyston Arms and a shop on the left, and turn left under the trees just past this. Drive past the barn and turn right into our car park.
Directions from the South (M4)
Leave the M4 at junction 13 (Chieveley) and take the A34 towards Oxford. At the junction with the A4185 (signposted Chilton) leave the A34 and follow the road off to the left. Keep on this road for about 2 miles. When you reach a roundabout with a Spar shop, take the left turn onto the A417 towards Wantage. Keep on this road for about 1 mile and take the turning for East Hendred on your left (White Road). Continue straight on along White Road, bearing right as the road becomes the High Street. Drive down the High Street, passing the Eyston Arms and a shop on the left, and turn left under the trees just past this. Drive past the barn and turn right into our car park.
Directions from the North (M40)
Leave the M40 at junction 8 for Oxford. Follow the A40 directly into Oxford until you reach the ring road roundabout. (There is a McDonald’s on the left hand side.) Take a left, and follow the road around Oxford, following signs for the A34 Newbury. Once on the A34, follow it until you reach the Didcot/Milton junction and exit on the slip road. Take a right at the roundabout signposted Wantage. Keep on this road for about half a mile, and take a right at the next roundabout onto the A417. Keep on this road for about 1 mile and take the turning for East Hendred on your left (White Road). Continue straight on along White Road, bearing right as the road becomes the High Street. Drive down the High Street, passing the Eyston Arms and a shop on the left, and turn left under the trees just past this. Drive past the barn and turn right into our car park.
